We are planning to integrate our Alga-culture Platform with a WTE Platform which will provide Energy and CO2, heating & cooling, for PAR-MAX, while also producing BioFuels, and Electricity to a Grid. Recycled effluents from both Plants contain valuable "micronized nutrients" utilized for; sustainable "BioDynamic Agriculture." Zero Carbon Footprint; Balance of Plant(s). "Plants can be coupled with Wind, Solar, and Ocean Wave Platforms, all contributing to a single Grid; "BioEnergy Hubs."

Frank 'Palani' Cipriani 

Director of Development, PI

Frank Cipriani brings 30 years experience in Aquaculture Development,  Applied Algal Phycology and the design and engineering of Industrial-scale Aquaculture Systems and  PhotoBioReactors. 

We are dedicated to becoming a globally recognized source for advanced knowledge on micro-algae and their application in new and breakthrough platforms in medicine, energy and industry.

As our model, we are pursuing a private/public partnership similar to other major marine bio-technology and science centers Nationally and beyond. We start with a commercial objective (Algal Bio-Oils) but have a scientific process that has broader implication and will seek to grow larger and more expansive in scope as we diversify.

Advisory Board Member

Don Watson has served the North Kohala Community for many years, as a Building Contractor, Lieutenant of Police, and more recently as Principle Broker at Don Watson Realty LLC. Don is a welcome addition to our Advisory Board. 
 

Jana Bogs, M.S., PhD CSO 

Jana Bogs PhD joins our Advisory Board as R&D nutritionist, food & soil scientist, Lab Manager, and agricultural consultant.

Dr. Jana Bogs is a researcher and consultant on the cutting edge of technology used to produce the very best quality, nutritionally-dense foods utilizing sustainable, environmentally-friendly methods.  Her objective is to help Hawaii become food self-sufficient and realize its potential in the world agricultural marketplace.  Dr. Bogs has been focusing on nutrition for humans and animals for many years. Realizing that the nutrient content of cultivated foods has decreased significantly over the past century, she has more recently focused on production of nutrient-dense foods. Dr. Bogs holds a BS in Nutrition, an MS in Animal Science (with a nutrition focus), and a PhD in Food Science/Safety and Horticulture. In addition to university training, Dr. Bogs has attended numerous domestic and international seminars and conferences to learn cutting-edge techniques to assist in producing nutrient-rich foods. Her focus is to bridge an understanding between full-spectrum food nutrient density and human health, and to create food products that are tasty and have a long shelf life, while being extremely nutritious.

 Frederick Kennedy, COO

Dr. Kennedy  joins our Advisory Board as Chief of Operations .

With a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Dr. Kennedy was formerly a licensed building contractor and brought forth cutting-edge technologies to residential construction and was a pioneer in the passive solar construction industry.  In 1986, he graduated from Life University School of Chiropractic and brings twenty-five years of experience as a practicing Doctor of Chiropractic and small business owner.  Dr. Kennedy's deepest commitments are to high integrity, communication, truth and beauty, deep wellness, and a world that works for everyone.  

Dr. Kennedy's role on the Advisory Board of BioFarms Hawaii, LLC is to stand for a model of 'Sustainable (Green) Business'.  The 'Bottom Line' is truly a three-legged stool that includes People, Planet and Profits with equal value.
